Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, lutein, zinc, and vitamins A, C, and E can help reduce the risk of age-related eye diseases like macular degeneration and cataracts.

Celebrate national vegetarian month by trying new recipes that have the following eye healthy ingredients:
Green, leafy vegetables such as spinach, kale, and collards -They're packed with lutein and zeaxanthinâkey antioxidants that help lower the risk of developing macular degeneration and cataracts.

Almonds - They're filled with vitamin E, which helps slow macular degeneration. One handful (an ounce) provides about half of your daily dose of E.
